Yeah, Discord had some data breaches:

But so did Slack and probably every major company:

And I would agree. At the current state Discord isn’t going to recommendable to businesses, otherwise, we’d all be there already. But if they did make a more business-friendly version, I think they’d crush it.

I thought it was weird that Slack bothered to release how many messages were exchanged when they filed for IPO, and I also saw that Discord had their own stats on it so I thought eh mind as well mention it to compare. But you have a good point in that Discord is meant for chatting and hanging out whereas Slack is meant for working.
